Toastmasters learn by doing. Club meetings allow members to practice communication and leadership skills with other people who are there for the same reason. Toastmasters encourages members to learn at their own pace by performing, watching others and evaluating.

Clubs exist in many communities around the world, especially in North America. It is a rare locality in the United States that does not have at least one Toastmasters club within thirty minutes driving time.
First, find a club near you and visit. Obtain an application and return the completed application with your payment to the Treasurer. According to Toastmaster Bylaws, you will be voted into membership by the Club.
